🔹 Senior Technical Writer

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join an international hardware/software company developing professional geodetic equipment and proprietary software for high-precision measurements.

📍 Fully remote
🌍 We consider candidates based in Europe and other suitable time zones; candidates located in Russia or Belarus are not eligible.
💼 B2B / self-employed contractor

Key responsibilities:
• Own technical documentation end-to-end: planning, writing, and publishing content in English.
• Document new product features and releases, keeping documentation aligned with product development.
• Define and maintain documentation standards and review the team’s work.
• Work closely with Software Development, Support, and Marketing teams.
• Maintain and improve the documentation portal.
• Mentor a Junior Technical Writer and contribute to team planning.
• Collaborate with the Localization Manager.

Requirements:
• Excellent written English (C1+ / Advanced).
• Proven Technical Writing experience.
• Experience mentoring, coordinating, or leading Technical Writers.
• Strong ability to analyze and structure complex technical information.
• Experience planning documentation work across multiple releases.
• Hands-on Docs-as-Code experience: Markdown/AsciiDoc, Git, pull requests, static site generators, CI/CD for documentation.

Nice to have:
• Linux experience.
• Experience working with software/engineering teams.
• Basic web development knowledge.
• Familiarity with GNSS, surveying, GIS, or other geospatial technologies.
